As a seafood market, Discount Seafood Market prides itself on delivering a diverse array of marine delights, including everything from the beloved blue crab—a rarity in many stores—to live crabs and seasonal crawfish. Customers rave about their experience hunting down fresh seafood, with enthusiastic feedback from patrons like Heather Horne, who noted the exceptional value of buying crabs in bulk, a delight that truly captures the essence of coastal life.
The market’s appeal goes beyond just affordability. According to Ess, every visit offers an adventure in flavor, with dishes deemed “flavorful and perfectly seasoned.” Whether you’re picking up a pound of fresh snow crab legs at only $18 or indulging in a quart of raw oysters priced under $32, your taste buds are in for a treat. The market often has specials that make seafood gatherings not only possible but delightful!
The ambiance here is incredibly welcoming. Customers quickly become regulars, feeling like part of a community where “one guy” has got you covered for all your seafood needs, as articulated by Casa de Salazar. Friendly faces greet you at the counter, ready to assist you in selecting just the right catch for your next meal. The commitment to freshness is palpable, and it's clear that this market thrives on customer satisfaction—just ask Priscilla Mendez, who was thrilled to score the last of the blue crabs ahead of Labor Day weekend.
While the focus may be on raw seafood, there’s creativity in what you can whip up at home. As hinted by TONICaSTEEL, whether you’re frying up catfish or crafting a seafood boil, the possibilities are as vast as the ocean. Remember, though—always check your order, as Cheryl Selman points out; attention to detail can enhance your experience further.

Cool little fresh seafood spot, prices are better than in the store. I can’t buy blue crab in bulk like this at the store. But just so you know, up north we sell by the bushel, 1/2 bushel or dozen. Not by the pound. Let me show you how to make blue crab right! I’m from Maryland! #chesapeakebluecrab

Only place in the area that had blue crab left for Labor Day Sunday due to the crappy weather. We bought all that was left. Super happy with the quality! The family enjoyed the crab and commented on how full of meat the crabs were and how sweet the crabs were as well.

We all need a guy, that guy that can get you whatever you need. These guys are my go-to guys for fresh seafood from here on out. They have your typical stuff like red snapper, catfish, and flounder, but they also have live crabs and seasonal crawfish. They have some good prices on their fresh seafood. They don't have much to offer on the cooked side, that is, if you don't use your imagination. They will filet and cook any of the fish they sell. You want boiled seafood? You can pick out any of the crabs you like from the bunch. Crawfish and shrimp? Same. Fried oysters? OK. That's why you need these guys. You need what they got, and they want to hook you up. It's a local market so if you live nearby you probably already know.
